There are many other resources available to ESL teachers. Here is a list of other WWW sites, many of which link to other ESL resources.

TESOL
The TESOL website provides information about our umbrella organization, including conferences, publications, and upcoming events.
TESOL France
The TESOL France website provides all the information you could want about ESL/EFL programs and conferences in France.
JALT: The Japan Association for Language Teaching
JALT is a sister affiliate of CATESOL. An excellent site for information about teaching ESL in Japan.
California Department of Education Web Site
ESL and bilingual information through the State Department of Education.
The English Council of California Two-Year Colleges
The purpose of ECCTYC is to advance English teaching and learning in the two-year college by providing opportunities for the exchange of discipline information, promoting professional interaction and growth among its members, and articulating concerns of the discipline to professional and policy-making groups.
Faculty Association of the California Community Colleges
The Faculty Association of California Community Colleges, Inc. is a nonprofit, professional advocacy association promoting unity and professionalism among California Community College faculty. A good site for keeping up-to-date on legislation.
ESL Cafe
The ESL Cafe is an amazing site that includes the ESL Quiz Center & the ESL Help Center (both for students), the ESL Search Page (to help you find ESL resources), and the ESL Idea Page (where both teachers and students can share ideas).
The Internet TESL Journal
A rich resource site with information on CALL, culture, world-wide associations and conferences, and job information.
The Internet Job Search for ESL!
Tom Riedmiller has put together a step by step guide to getting an ESL job by using Internet resources. He includes resources, sources for job listings, and articles to help you avoid job scams. And don't forget our own CATESOL Job Listserv.
TESL Electronic Journal
TESL-EJ provides on-line information on the teaching of ESL, as well as reviews of CALL materials and resources.
English on the Web
Both teachers and students will benefit from this Web site. Links and more links.
The Virtual English Language Center
This is a site built by Comenius publishing group. The resources here are geared towards ESL students and include The Weekly Idiom and e-mail Penpals.

ESL Shockwave Quiz Online
For those of you who are keeping up with changes in web browser technology, check out what ESL students can do now! A real grammar and listening quiz on-line with results. Caution: this site requires Netscape Navigator 2.0 or higher and the Macromedia Shockwave plug-in.
Tutor 2000
This site enlists the help of volunteer English tutors and pairs them on-line with ESL learners. It's a free service.
Closed Captioning Web
Many ESL teachers are finding the use of Closed Captioning with television programs and movies very useful in their instruction. Our link is directly with the page that has information for teachers on how to use Closed Captioning in their classrooms.
Englishtown
This commercial site by EF Multimedia is still under development, but there are a few things that people may want to check out. There is a free trial writing/reading course for intermediate & advanced students, there are two vocabulary games (requires a java-capable browser like Netscape 3 or higher), there are some exchange forums for both learners and teachers, and for the time being, they are answering learner questions about English grammar.
TEFL Professional Network
I can’t vouch for this service, but the network’s aim is to help TESL/TEFL professionals find jobs worldwide. There are resource links, certification examination schedules, info about different degrees in ESL/EFL, and of course, postings about job vacancies. The service is free.
Jonathan Revusky’s English Grammar Pages
Special focus on grammar help for French and Spanish speakers. These pages use JAVA and RealAudio, so you need at least Netscape Navigator 3.0 or Internet Explorer 3.0 or higher plus the RealAudio plug-in. Currently, there are units on using the present perfect and conditionals.
